The Heartwood Distinction nomination is closed. The five finalists will be announced on March 28. Winners will be announced at our Spring Academy XP event.

The Decor Cabinets Heartwood Distinction recognizes individuals in the Decor Family that are exemplary in demonstrating Decor values.

Sarah Wilhelm

Sarah is engaging online with other designers, leaving positive feedback or encouragement. She shares her design journey online on her Instagram @homebysarahw, where she showcases her designs with Decor products, her own home projects, and her experience at Academy XP 23′.

Jessica Curry

Jessica has created original social media content featuring Decor product in the past year.
Is actively engaging online with other designers, leaving positive feedback and encouragement and actively uses digital marketing to grow her business.

Nicole Jenkins

Her unwavering commitment to showcasing the best of The Wright Kitchen and Decor is nothing short of commendable. Her consistent online presence serves as a testament to her passion and professionalism. She actively engages with her audience by sharing her latest designs, insights, and inspirations multiple times a week. A staunch supporter of her fellow designers, whether they belong to The Wright Kitchen organization or the broader design community.

Paul McManus

Paul was one of the first designers to submit an InStile article for the Decor Cabinets blog. He was very helpful in creating content and submitting information about the project. His design center also created their own case study for the project, writing a blog post on their website and creating a video on YouTube.

Kari Wolder

Kari stood out to us sharing projects featuring Decor Cabinets. She creates a variety of content on Instagram, from stories to reels, giving her audience both a professional and personal look into her life. Potential customers have Kari as a relatable face to associate MainBuilt’s brand to.

Wayne Fritz

Wayne actively seeks out opportunities to learn Decor’s new products whether through online resources or with the help of a CSR. He shows a willingness to adapt to changes in the cabinet industry and has taken the initiative to identify areas where Decor can improve!

Koralee Dorval

Koralee is always stretching herself to learn new ideas and options to present to her clients. The person who nominated her says she practically has memorized the Decor University of product articles! She regularly completes Academy content and has an amazing retention of information that she applies to designs.

Jeff Greenawalt

Jeff has demonstrated development by digging into his understanding of Decor cabinetry. He is a go to person at United Wholesale to get clarity on details when it relates to cabinetry. Jeff has been a speaker at a previous Academy event about appliance cabinets and has become an expert.

Joscelyn Bonhomme

Joscelyn is said to be one of the most professional designers, always eager to learn and facilitate processes, which can be difficult to do in this field. She knows a lot about Decor products and uses that knowledge to improve the way she orders and manages her projects.

Serena Williams

Serena always goes the extra mile to enter her orders with accuracy, making sure communication is clear and effective demonstrating a genuine interest in our products and processes.

Casey Willemse

Casey from Casey’s Kitchens has always loved to help those who need help the most. From building houses in Cambodia, to spearheading refugee families locally, Casey continues to help others by doing walkathon’s, contacting local businesses, and working charity BBQ’s – whatever he can do for the less fortunate.

Jason Weisner

Jason supports community organizations including Lloydminster Interval Home, Project Little Bear, Big Brothers/sisters of Lloydminster, United Way Lloydminster & District, LPSD/LCSD Breakfast program. He also supports Lloydminster Minor Hockey and Mckee Mx Racing.

Frank Geerlinks

Frank has been a pillar to his community supporting many different charities and causes from women’s shelters, churches, schools, animal shelters, and donations both monetary and building supplies. He’s supported employees when they’ve gone through tough times, whether illness or loss of a loved one, he’s covered costs and continued salaries when other companies would have not. He truly does God’s work.

Tatiana Betancourt

GT Kitchen & Bath Inc. believes in greener living and keeping our planet a clean & beautiful place. They recycle, donate old kitchens so they can be re-used within the community, and continue to look for ways to improve.

Christen Kriesel

Christen does work for a woman’s shelter whose focus is helping women who are fleeing intense domestic abuse. She has donated and installed cabinets for them, so far having been involved with three of their remodel projects.

Phyllis Thiessen

Phyllis has been a true representative of the values of Decor Cabinets for many years. She has always been willing to tackle new challenges with an honest work ethic. Phyllis shows complete respect for all clients who come in the door, and they all receive her very best efforts. She encourages all who work with her to strive for more within themselves.

Lisa Quiring

When faced with challenges and things that went wrong with orders. She has always displayed the utmost respect and integrity. And has always focused on finding a solution rather than blaming. And has done this with much positivity. The people she works with are important to her.

Dan Garon

Dan always has the best attitude, full of humor and very accommodating. On chats he is always a delight, and even when there are issues with orders, he takes it all in stride and always tries his best to help us. He makes a lasting impression and exemplifies exactly what a luminous person is and always comes with the most positive attitude.

Linda Hermon

Linda is always thinking outside of the box when it comes to new design ideas or problem-solving solutions. Employees are eager to learn from her as she’s worked with Decor Cabinets for over 20 years! She’s always willing to listen to ideas/concerns and has a way about herself that exudes the utmost respect in not only a colleague but also a friend.

Cindy Hellgren

Cindy just epitomizes all that is positive and respectful about the world. Through day to day challenges and obstacles she always carries herself with the upmost respect and approachability.

Brian Holwerda

Brian not only demonstrates exceptional skill and expertise in his craft but also upholds the highest accountability and integrity in every aspect of his work. He actively mentors and teaches other designers, generously imparting his skills and insights to help them grow and succeed in their own careers. He takes ownership of his work, readily admitting and rectifying any mistakes, and consistently operates with transparency and honesty.

Brian Anderson

Brian has been open and transparent about decisions, actions, and any potential conflicts. He follows codes of conduct and regulations and takes ownership of mistakes, always working to rectify them. He is consistent in behaving responsibility and ethically over time.

Abbie Sladick

Having been nominated multiple times by her peers, Abbie shows that she is an amazing leader with a passion and appreciation for both clients and her design team. After organizational changes Abbie has worked hard to facilitate the changes and bring everyone back together. She makes you want to be a better person, take pride in what you do and be proud of who you are and what you represent. She handles everything with elegance and virtue.

Sarah Loveland

Sarah brings joy to any conversation. She shows professionalism in all interactions. She is a leader that is always willing to help others first. You can never have a bad day with Sarah!

Jamie Maddison

Jamie is an exemplary leader. He is a constant pillar to lean on for those around him. He is always available to help his team succeed. He remains calm in difficult situations and always displays respect. He is also very considerate of those who may be going through

difficult times in their personal lives. Truly a role model and stewards his responsibilities well.

The Decor Cabinets Heartwood Distinction recognizes individuals in the Decor Family that are exemplary in demonstrating Decor values. Philanthropic and personal development endeavors are a core part of culture and our people. While we are passionate about making beautiful cabinets, we are equally empowered to make a difference in the world around us.

We have 5 categories of distinction that represent different tenets of our mission as a company. Decor Staff, dealers, and designers will have the opportunity to nominate individuals that they think showcase these characteristics. We will recognize one outstanding individual in each category, presenting them with the Heartwood Distinction at the Spring Academy XP event.

We are so proud of each designer in our family and want to recognize those that have gone above and beyond to create cabinets people love, bring light to the world & the community, build life into people’s lives and leave behind more than they take.

The nomination process will entail meticulously evaluating and selecting five finalists for each category based on their exceptional contributions and remarkable achievements. The unveiling of the finalists will take place on March 28th.

From among these finalists, one exceptional winner per category will be unveiled at our Academy XP event, a culmination of anticipation and admiration for their remarkable endeavors.

Through the Heartwood Distinction, we aim not only to recognize the extraordinary efforts of our dealers but also to ignite a spark of inspiration, encouraging others to strive for greatness and redefine the boundaries of excellence.
