Every homeowner has a unique story that shapes their needs. Listening carefully to that story is essential in developing a design that fulfills and even exceeds a client’s wishes.

James Lucas Brown – Speaker

James brings over 10 years of design experience, the last two being with Derrick Whitaker Designs. James has a background in high-end residential and commercial interiors, as well as kitchen and bath design. A graduate of the University of Kentucky’s College of Design, School of Interiors, he combines a strong design foundation with a hands-on understanding of remodeling and construction. James enjoys being involved in every stage of the design process, from the initial concept through construction and final installation. Passionate about creating spaces that feel personal, functional, and refined, James approaches each project with an appreciation for both timeless design and thoughtful detail. Whether reimagining a historic Lexington home or creating a more modern interior, his work balances architectural character with the individual needs and lifestyle of each client.
