The lighting system from Decor is considered a plug and play system and should be easy to connect once you understand all the components. If you are not familiar with the components, then we recommend ordering a lighting diagram from Decor until you get used to the components.
SCENARIO 1: DIMMABLE DRIVER
The dimmable driver will be connected to a bare 6-way distributor that has 6 light ports. You can’t connect any cabinet box switches as this will be connected to a dimmable wall switch and the bare 6-way distributor does not have a switch port. If you need more than 6 light ports, then you can connect a 6-way distributor which will give you another 5 light ports. You can now plug any puck light lead or strip light lead into the available light ports. This driver will require a minimum of 8 watts. Also, if you need to bring light ports closer to the cabinets, then you will use the light extension leads and then connect it to a 6-way distributor.
VIEW: Scenarios To Use Each Lighting Drivers
*Note: A 2-meter extension lead LT-LEAD-EXT-2M is available if you need to extend the puck or strip lead to the 6-way bare distributor.
*Note: AÂ LT-DIST-6WAY can be added if you need to add more light ports to the LT-DIST-6WAY-BARE
SCENARIO 2: CONSTANT DRIVER
The constant driver will require a 6-way distributor with a switch or app connected to the driver and will provide 6 light ports and 1 switch port. The switch port will power the 6 light ports on the driver. If you need more than 6 light ports, then you can connect a 6-way distributor, which will give you another 5 light ports. You can now plug any puck light lead or strip light lead into the available light ports. If you connect two 6-way distributor with switch or app together, then the switch from distributor 1 can’t power the light ports from distributor 2 or vice versa. If you want to bring light ports closer to a cabinet, then use the light extension leads and connect it to the 6-way distributor with switch or app. Note the light port on the end of the 6-way distributor switch and app will not be powered by the switch port and will have constant power. We don’t recommend using this for light ports.
