The lighting system from Decor is considered a plug and play system and should be easy to connect once you understand all the components. If you are not familiar with the components, then we recommend ordering a lighting diagram from Decor until you get used to the components.
SCENARIO 1: DIMMABLE DRIVER
The dimmable driver will be connected to a 6-way distributor that has 6 light ports. You can’t connect any cabinet box switches as this will be connected to a dimmable wall switch and the 6-way distributor does not have a switch port. If you need more than 6 light ports, then you can connect another 6-way distributor which will give you another 5 light ports. You can now plug any puck light lead or strip light lead into the available light ports. This driver will require a minimum of 4 watts. Also, if you need to bring light ports closer to the cabinets, then you will use the light extension leads and then connect it to a 6-way distributor.
VIEW: Scenarios To Use Each Lighting Drivers
Note: a 2-meter extension lead is available if you need to extend the puck or strip lead to the 6-way bare distributor.
Note: a 6-way distributor can be added if you need to add more light ports to the 6-way distributor.
SCENARIO 2: CONSTANT DRIVER
The constant driver will require a 6-way distributor with a switch or app connected to the driver and will provide 6 light ports and 1 switch port. The switch port will power the 6 light ports on the driver. If you need more than 6 light ports, then you can connect a 6-way distributor, which will give you another 5 light ports. You can now plug any puck light lead or strip light lead into the available light ports. If you connect two 6-way distributor with switch or app together, then the switch from the first distributor can’t power the light ports from the second distributor or vice versa. If you want to bring light ports closer to a cabinet, then use the light extension leads and connect it to the 6-way distributor with switch or app. Note the light port on the end of the 6-way distributor switch and app will not be powered by the switch port and will have constant power. We don’t recommend using this for light ports.
