Decor offers four types of distributors. Your application will determine which distributor to use. When you require a dimmable driver, then you will need the 6-way bare (LT-DIST-6WAY-BARE), which has 6 light ports and will be hard-wired to the dimmable driver. If you need extra light ports, then use the 6-way (LT-DIST-6WAY), as this will add 5 light ports to another distributor. The most common distributor will be the 6-way with switch (LT-DIST-6WAY-SWITCH) as it connects to the constant driver either directly or through an extension lead. You can also connect multiple 6-way with switch together. This distributor has 6 light ports and a switch port to connect cabinet switches. Note the switch port only controls the 6 light ports on the distributor. To control your lights from your smart phone via an app, then use the 6-way with switch app (LT-DIST-6WAY-SWITCH-APP). It has the same functions as the 6-way with switch, but also the ability to control lights in different groupings via the Hafele Connect Mesh App on your smart phone.
SCENARIO 1: 6-WAY DISTRIBUTOR
When you need to add extra light ports, then use the 6-way distributor as this will add 5 light ports to another distributor. You can add this to any of the four distributors.
SCENARIO 2: MULTISWITCH BOX
If you want to control all lights from any switches, then you will want the multiswitch box. It is commonly used on a 2 door cabinet with two door sensors for each door, then the switch wires are connected to the front of the multiswitch while the lighting wires are connected to the back of the multiswitch.
SCENARIO 3: 6-WAY DISTRIBUTOR W/ SWITCH
This is the most common distributor as it connects to the constant driver either directly or through an extension lead. This distributor has 6 light ports and a switch port to connect cabinet switches. The switch port only controls the 6 light ports on the side of the distributor. You can connect multiple 6-way with switch together or 6-way-switch-app via the single light port on the end. This single light port will have constant power and so it is not recommended to connect a light using this port.
SCENARIO 4: 6-WAY DISTRIBUTOR W/ SWITCH, APP
If you would like to control your lights from your smart phone via an app, then use the 6-way with switch app. It has the same functions as the 6-way with switch, but also the ability to control lights in different groupings via the Hafele Connect Mesh App on your smart phone.
