Types of Leads

Updated on August 29, 2024

The Puck light lead, Strip light Lead, and switch lead will be connected to the light or switch when installed into Decor’s product. When you unbox your cabinet or panel you will see the light port ends of the puck light lead or strip light lead coming out the back of your product which connects to the distributor. If you have a cabinet switch installed in the product, then you will see the switch light port end of the switch lead coming out the back of the product which connects to the distributor.

OPTION 1: PUCK LIGHT LEAD

A puck light will require a puck light lead to connect the puck light to the distributor. Decor wraps about 7 to 8 inches of the puck light lead around the puck light for the installers convenience if you should have to replace the puck light.

OPTION 2: STRIP LIGHT LEAD

A Strip light will require a strip light lead to connect the strip light to the distributor.

OPTION 3: SWITCH LEAD

Cabinet box switches require a switch lead that connects the switch to the distributor.

OPTION 4: EXTENSION LEAD FOR PUCK LIGHT OR STRIP LIGHT

You can use a 2-meter extension lead if the puck light lead or strip light lead does not reach the distributor.

OPTION 5: SWITCH EXTENSION LEAD

Decor also has a 2-meter switch extension lead available if the switch lead does not reach the distributor.
